Biography

Working at Warner Bros.

Hunter James Cox was born on September 16th, 1991 in Streator, IL. He won a free digital camera in a drawing and started experimenting with small films for his churches youth group. He soon started writing and directing more work with friends, family, and his dog. However, he was just having fun and never really considered this a career.

That all CHANGED during his sophomore year of High School when he signed up to be the school mascot "Mr. Bulldog" and found a little trouble. He was told to take the costume home and air it out after every game, so he naturally made a film during that downtime.

Soon enough the school dismissed him from the position and claimed the video represented the school in a negative light. The media got word and it made it on the Chicago NBC5 News, ABC7 News and almost Inside Edition for the school over reacting.

A teacher said to Hunter, “I understand that you’re getting a lot of attention from this video, which was great by the way, but I think you have a real talent here." From that point forward Hunter took to attending film school at Columbia College Chicago where upon he graduated in 2014.

He has won many festival awards and continues to do what he loves. He has worked for major network television shows, commercials, music videos, along with many successful films. Check out his resume for the full list.
